GENDER POLICY
GAMWORKS is a gender champion in The Gambia. It has embedded in its Staff Service Rules a Gender Policy which seeks to promote equality between men and women to ensure a fair and safe working environment for staff and all stakeholders. The Policy ensures that there is zero tolerance for sexual harassment in the workplace and outlines procedures for addressing such issues and raising awareness.
MAINSTREAMING GENDER
GAMWORKS’ Gender Policy puts in place mechanisms for gender mainstreaming. The Agency aims to attain gender parity and currently has 50% of female employees in leadership positions.
The Agency has now adopted a system of developing a Gender and Inclusion Action Plan for projects to incorporate activities for mainstreaming gender and inclusion.
